Psychosocial Programs
Camp Bravo
This weeklong summer camp is exclusively for children who have a sibling with cancer, providing them with a unique experience tailored to their needs. Similar to Camp Courageous, this camp focuses on creating fun memories and building lasting friendships, but with an emphasis on the specific challenges siblings face. It offers a supportive environment where kids can connect with others who understand their experiences, share stories, and enjoy a range of activities together. This camp helps them feel less isolated and more supported, giving them an unforgettable experience where they can just be kids while feeling understood and appreciated.
Camp Courageous
This weeklong summer camp is exclusively designed for our patients with cancer, offering them a unique opportunity to experience the joys of camp alongside others who are facing similar challenges. It’s a chance for them to engage in fun activities, bond with peers, and build lasting friendships that carry on throughout their journey. During this week, patients gain a sense of independence, which can be incredibly empowering and inspiring as they navigate their battles. This camp allows them to feel like kids again, providing moments of joy, connection, and strength.
Parent Retreat
Our local weekend getaway for registered parents offers a much-needed retreat where they can enjoy a worry-free weekend filled with relaxation and support. During this retreat, guest speakers lead sessions on essential topics such as communication skills, coping strategies, stress relief, and relaxation techniques. The goal is to help parents reconnect, strengthen their bond, and reestablish their commitment to one another. This experience reminds them that they are fighting the battle together, not against each other, offering them the tools and time to heal and grow as a team.
Camp United
Camp United is a three-day outdoor adventure where families come together for a unique bonding experience. Set in the peaceful surroundings of nature, this camp offers families the chance to reconnect not only with their loved one diagnosed with cancer but also with one another as a whole. Camp United provides a supportive environment that encourages healing and togetherness, helping families grow closer while navigating the challenges of a cancer diagnosis. For many, this camp has proven to be a vital part of their journey, offering much-needed comfort, unity, and hope.
Camp Little One
The One-Day Mini Camp is a special experience designed for children who do not meet the age requirement of six (6) for Camp Bravo or Camp Courageous. This fun-filled day is open to our young cancer patients and their siblings, offering them a taste of the camp experience in a safe and inclusive environment. Our goal is to create a memorable day that fosters joy, connection, and a sense of belonging, ensuring every child feels valued and included.

Together, Susana and Ivanna have helped each other navigate the difficult path of illness and recovery, embodying resilience and the unbreakable bond of family.
