Our Services

At Candlelighters, we understand the overwhelming challenges that families face when dealing with an unexpected cancer diagnosis. Our dedicated programs and services are designed to alleviate some of this burden by providing comprehensive support.

We offer financial assistance to help manage the costs associated with treatment and other basic needs, therapeutic services to aid in emotional and physical healing, and psychosocial support to ensure that families have the resources and counseling they need to navigate this difficult journey.

Our goal is to make life a little easier for families, allowing them to focus on what truly matters: caring for their loved one.

Helping over 200 families per year !

Meet Mia B.

Mia was diagnosed with cancer last year. Throughout her journey, she has remained a beacon of positivity, always keeping her spirits high. Her unwavering strength and courage shine through, thanks in large part to the incredible support of her family, who have stood by her side every step of the way. At Candlelighters, we’ve done everything in our power to help make this challenging process smoother for Mia and her loved ones, ensuring they never walk this path alone.

Mia knows she has a greater purpose in life, and she’s passionate about giving back to other children battling cancer. Her heart is full of hope, and her goal is to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others. This year, Mia’s resilience and spirit were recognized when she was crowned the 2024 Candlelighters’ Queen, a title she carries with pride and love. We are so proud of Mia and the incredible example she sets for all of us.

Vivian was diagnosed with cancer at a young age, and though the journey was tough, she fought through the hardest times with remarkable strength. Today, she stands as a powerful example of resilience, having recently graduated from The University of Texas at El Paso and now serving as a teacher. Vivian is also giving back by serving as a camp counselor for Candlelighters, providing support and guidance to children facing battles similar to hers.

As a survivor, she is a shining example of what it means to overcome adversity, and we are incredibly proud to continue supporting her and all of our patients, even long after their treatment is done. Vivian’s story reminds us of the lasting impact Candlelighters can have on the lives of those we serve.
