Candlelighters operates each year with the help of over 200 seasonal volunteers. We accept administrative volunteers on an ongoing basis at our main office and Donation Center. Volunteers can also apply for seasonal activities and fundraising events.

Candlelighters offers unpaid internship assignments working alongside staff. Selected interns must have a background in Social Services and be working towards or have a degree in Counseling, Psychology, etc.

Volunteer duties consist of: selling food, t-shirts, monitoring areas, helping families find their way around, manning a variety of stations, and much more! Childhood cancer families love our camps. Volunteer to be a camp counselor and enjoy a weekend of fun and special memories! Camp of the Tall Pines consists of 220 acres of beautiful mountain property by the Lincoln National Forest located near Cloudcroft, New Mexico. Join us and be a part of a life changing experience.
Become a sponsor/underwriter at our important fundraiser that celebrates children with cancer and introduces community members to the Candlelighters mission.
Donations needed are toys, candy, food, beverages and gift cards. Volunteers are needed to run the grill, games, set-up and take-down. Held in August of each year, the Family Picnic is a fun event for the entire family with food, games, recreational activities, and music at Wet N | Wild Waterworld
Candlelighters is seeking volunteers who are willing to drive patients from their homes to cancer treatment centers in the El Paso and surrounding areas. Volunteers must be at least 25 years old, willing to take a driving test, and have a good driving record. A six passenger van and insurance is provided.
